I never intended this blog to become an Anti-US propaganda, but then day in and day out as I come to know more and more of the truth I feel more and more disturbed. In today’s Dallas Morning News I read this article under the heading “Secret War”.

According to the article since the past three years US has been investing enormous amounts of money and manpower to destabilise the central government in Iran. This is the secret plan of none other than President Bush who has already destroyed two nations (Afghanistan and Iraq) directly and several more indirectly. Now his sights are trained on Iran.

“The plan allowed up to $400 million in covert spending for activities ranging from spying on Iran’s nuclear program to supporting rebel groups opposed to the country’s ruling clerics, veteran investigative reporter Seymour Hersh reported in the New Yorker magazine,” reads the article which further states that the US government has been waging a covert-war... to put it in direct terms, they have been indulging in terrorism in Iran.

Apparently the White House is making some new plans to step up the operation in Iran. I don’t understand the logic of American Government, $400 million is a lot of money and it can be well spent to tackle hunger in famine-ridden nations of South Africa. Or give relief to Americans who are being forced into bankruptacy due to slump in real estate and escalating gas prices. The money could be invested in making gas prices cheaper for their own people. It could be used to improve educational and healthcare facilities for the poor and lower-middle class American citizens who don’t have health insurance.

But NO President Bush wants to instigate terrorism in Iran. I am shocked beyond my wits. And by what I am reading about the forthcoming presidential elections, if John McCain wins the race and becomes the next American President, a war with Iran will soon follow. I wonder after Iran which country America will target. Maybe India, maybe China, maybe Pakistan or maybe Saudi Arabia? I don’t know.

On the other hand, if the war on Iraq is all about Oil and the attack on Iran will also be for oil, hopefully US’ thirst for oil will be quenched with the destruction of Iran. Probably not... maybe their huge SUVs which carry only one person across their millions of miles of highways need more oil than available in the earth to quench their thirst. And looks like they will go ahead and destroy the rest of the world so long as their hunger for oil and big cars is satiated.

You got that right Grace...

And if anyone every had nay doubts about the socialist interests of the big saintly Uncle Sam, then they should perhaps pay a little attention to the shameless lack of WMDs in Iraq or the fact that they never really found Osama in Afghanistan or that they have now admitted that they are interested in Iraqi oil or that they havent yet been able to solve the Isreal-Palestine dispute...

And if you still miss the point, read Arms and the Man by GB Shaw!!!!

Propaganda is one thing, but isn’t your post extreme hyperbole? Why do you need America to be the ”worst” in the world? Why can’t it just be bad?

Don’t you think you should spend a bit of time living in a place like North Korea before you say the U.S. is the worst? Or how about Russia, where the average man doesn’t live to see age 60 and the country leads the world in suicides? It might help people take your criticism a bit more seriously if you were a bit more accurate and reasonable.

Well the word worst might be hyperbole... but in terms of suicides America is nowhere less, 650,000 people attempt suicide and 85,000 succeed every year in the US.

Dean Ann-Marie Slaughter of Princeton has listed the principles and values upon which the American nation is founded. Among the said values are tolerance, humility and faith. To almost the entire world outside America as well as to, I hope, a majority of Americans themselves, it would appear that the American administration has become increasingly intolerant, arrogant and hell-bent on destroying faiths other than it believes in. Purely for its nuisance and destructive value, and its undoubted eminence as the only power in the world capable of playing the bully in all parts of the planet, America must, unfortunately, accept the title of being the worst policeman around. It is a veritable, drunk policeman, riding a power vehicle, constantly threatening citizens to pull the trigger on anyone who disagrees!
