Indian teenagers are not far behind their American counterparts when it comes to guns and school shootouts.
Two recent school shooting incidents, one in upscale town of Gurgaon and another in rural village of Chorbani, Madhya Pradesh, have rocked the national consciousness.
In a recent incident an eighth grade student was killed by his senior in school after a scuffle. According to police, a tenth-standard student whipped out a country-made revolver and gunned down the 15-year-old victim. The school is located in Chorbani village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.
Where is India heading to? Are we going the America way? How did this village kid get access to guns? It is hard to believe that country made guns are so easily available in India?
People get shocked the day this happens and then life takes over, people get engrossed and wake up only another similar incident happens elsewhere in the country. There are too many people and too much hassles to keep track of everyone.
Wonder what will happen in the future... students will have hip/ chest holster as a part of their uniform? Whatever... Let us wait and watch.
